I lead a support group for parents of children with autism at Support for Families of Children with Disabilities in San Francisco, first Tuesday of each month. Join us June 5th, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM, at 1663 Mission Street, 7th floor, San Francisco. This support group is free, and free childcare is available for the duration of the meeting. Call 415-9205040 to reserve a spot for your child. You don't need to RSVP or register in order to join. My guest speaker this time is David Traver, MD, FAAP. Dr. Traver is a pediatrician specializing in treating children with Autism Spectrum Disorders:
Autism is now understood to be a heterogenous set of conditions which manifest themselves systemically. The research is accumulating which attests that these conditions respond to treatment with various interventions and agents both natural and pharmaceutical in nature. This presentation will focus on the testing and treatments which can be offered to these patients and their families.
Dr. Traver will be available to answer questions.
